Unity of legal entities in the form of the Association
«Aimak» Foundation of support for regional development
and local self-government in the Republic of Kazakhstan».

The aim of Association is assistance on strategic plans accomplishment of development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, increasing of the state regional policy efficiency and the further development of local self-government.

Objectives of Association:

1. assistance in carrying out of the state regional policy reform provided by the strategic plan for development of the Republic of Kazakhstan till 2020 as well as local self-government development;
2.  preparation of theoretical recommendations by working out of actions of the state regional policy taking into account necessity of alignment of social and economic development conditions in regions, maintenance of common social standards and equal social protection of citizens irrespective of economic possibilities of regions;
3. development of practical offers on steady social and economic development of regions with the maximum account of natural-climatic features, necessities of complex ecological protection of regions, priority protection of regions concerning to special zones (ecological disaster, ecological accident, reserved, sanatorium);
4. cooperation with the scientific and expert-analytical centres on forecasting and an estimation of financial and other resource possibilities of regions, revealing of ways and means of activization of own potential of regions for the decision of the major social and economic problems of their development, solvent demand and its regional distribution, studying of regional commodity markets and services;
5. assistance in working out of strategy of long-term economic growth of regions on the basis of regional advantages and features of industrial specialization, a territorial division of labour, presence of the scientific and technical potential, which are able to become a basis of a diversification of economy;
6. assistance in creation of conditions for industrially-innovative development, formation of special economic zones and technoparks, supports of small and medium business, domestic commodity producers and investment appeal of regions;
7. providing with methodical, information, legal and consulting assistance to bodies of the local government and self-management in working out and realization of strategy of social and economic development of administrative and territorial units;
8. carrying out scientific analytical researches and sociological interviews concerning regional and local self-government development;
9. participation in perfection of the current legislation concerning regional and local self-government development;
10. assistance in reforming and qualitative, high-grade functioning of housing and communal services;
11.  assistance in strengthening of social, legal security of local self-government institution employees, contribution of formation and development of their necessary professional skills;
12. organization of conferences, seminars, trainings, round tables on problems of regional development and local government, exhibitions for exchanging of local self-governments experience, as well as participation in international events;
13. creation and development of the expert service system on a problematics of regional and local self-government development;
14. publishing of the scientifically-analytical literature on actual problems of regional and local self-government development;
15. creation of an informational network, Internet resource on regional development and local self-government issues;
16. establishment of mass media and publishing activity;
17. creation of the resource centre on assistance to regional development and local self-government;
18. studying of an advanced experience of foreign countries in the sphere of regional development and local self-government;
19. cooperation with international organizations concerning regional development and local government and assistance to bodies of the local government and self-management in development of international contacts;
20. assistance to local authorities in participation in projects and programs of the international organizations connected with regional development and local government, supporting of external economic activity ;
21. assistance to the international regional economic, humanitarian cooperation,administrative and territorial units of the RК with territories of other states;
22. realization of other forms of the activity, not forbidden by the legislation of the Republics Kazakhstan and the present Charter.
